Community Project
Attendees at the 2023 Marathon Quilters quilt show were invited to sew hearts for the
"I Found a Quilted Heart" campaign. Each heart is an original design envisioned by the
creator. Finished hearts were taken by the makers to be left in locations where
the found hearts can brighten the day of the finder.

Pandemic Lemonade
Marathon Quilters asked guild members and 2021 quilt show attendees to
write a brief note on white fabric about how they spent their time during Covid quarantine.
The responses were varied and heart-warming.
Some learned new skills, read books, adopted a furry companion, or
baked, Zoomed, or traveled to new places via the internet, and a
number strengthened family bonds, reconnected with old friends or fell in love.
Read the 178 statements here.

Community Art Quilt

Attendees at the 2018 Marathon Quilters quilt show were invited
to arrange triangles of fabric into a quilt design, and then Marathon Quilters finished the quilt.
This quilt was donated to the Ascentria Care Alliance in Worcester, MA.

The 2023 quilt show was supported in part by a grant from the Hopkinton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Special thanks to Middlesex Savings Bank for being a sponsor of our 2023 quilt show.
